Side Underride Research

ICA has performed side underride crashes with and without side guard protection. Some tests are instrumented and all have complete photographic and crush data plus video.

Expert Witness Testimony

The ICA team has many years experience in giving testimony as expert witnesses.

We provide expert consultation and testimony in civil and criminal litigation involving traffic accidents and the determination, analysis, and evaluation of the pre-crash, crash and post-crash phases of the human, vehicle and environmental factors that culminate in death or injury to vehicle occupants, pedestrians, and other road users.

Black Box Data Retrieval

We are a Certified Crash Data Retrieval Specialist by and through Vetronix Corporation. The "black box" module stores data for 5 seconds prior to a crash where the following data is available for selected vehicles: speed, brake pedal (on/off), accelerator position, airbag deployment, SIR warning lamp status (on/off), driver's belt switch circuit status (buckled/unbuckled), passenger airbag suppression switch status (on/off), ignition eycles at/near deployment, ignition cycles at investigation.
